We are Tippin’s. We’re pie people.

Our passion for pies grew from our original restaurants and the time people spent together around the table enjoying our pies. Over time, we became something of a household name. You say “Tippin’s” and people think “pie.”

Today we sell our pies in select grocery stores across the country. We also sell pies online for home delivery. We make a variety of baked goods, soups and sauces too. All from those original recipes.

We pride ourselves on baking pies that bring people together. For nearly four decades, our team has created the most indulgent, made-from-scratch pies for you and your family and friends to enjoy.

Tippin’s Team

Our bakers have years of experience and a true knack for baking pies. They take Tippin’s original recipes and create exceptional made-from-scratch pies.

Much of our bakery pie making is like what you do in your kitchen at home – just in bigger batches. Our bakers know just when to flip over our delicate crusts so they bake to perfection for cream pies. We taste-test each batch of filling to make sure it meets our standards. We hand-fill our pumpkin and pecan pies as they bake and top our cream and meringue pies with signature touches.

Tippin’s team members are the special ingredient in our recipe for success. We have a passion for making the best pies, and it’s a labor of love that brings those pies to your table.

First restaurant opens in Lenexa, Kansas, as Pippin’s Restaurant and Pie Pantry serving a homestyle menu and specializing in pies

Tippin’s Restaurants Expand

Tippin’s restaurant chain continues to grow throughout the Midwest, reaching a peak of 19 restaurants in cities including Kansas City, Wichita, Tulsa, Oklahoma City, St. Louis, Austin and Dallas.

Tippin’s Enters Grocery Stores

Hen House Markets in Kansas City start selling Tippin’s pies and other food items

Tippin’s Moves Exclusively to Retail

Tippin’s restaurants close. Four B Corporation purchases the Tippin’s brand and the company becomes Tippin’s Gourmet Pies, LLC, to focus on selling through grocery stores.

Online Sales Begin

Tippin’s starts selling pies online for home delivery to meet the needs of customers across the U.S.

National Pie Championships

Tippin's Blue Ribbon Pies

In 2011 and 2012, Tippin’s pies win 12 Blue Ribbons in the Commercial Division at the National Pie Championships sponsored by the American Pie Council

2015

Hometown Pie Partner

Tippin's: The KC Royals Hometown Pie Partner

During the 2014 and 2015 baseball seasons, Tippin’s sponsored the Kansas City Royals as their Hometown Pie Partner. The Royals made World Series appearances both years, and won the World Series in 2015. Coincidence? We think not.
